I think this piece is very interesting and successful, one of the best in the gallery, because of the emotion and interest/darkness of the photo. I really like the way the bubble is the only very colorful and reflective thing in the photo, and the rest is dark and hard looking, like the black fence and all the dark clothes the man is dressed in. Yet, the highlights and smile on the man's face reflects the feelings of the bubbles. I also think it is very successful that the photo is long and horizontal and shows the span of the landscape that ties a little bit of the light sky into the bubbles' highlights. Overall, I think this photo works because of the interest and I feel like I can look at this photo for a really long time as my eye moves around the picture and not get bored.
